Our Story

Run in the Bridge to Brisbane as part of the QIMR Berghofer fundraising team and help support life-saving medical research.

Join our team or get your friends or colleagues together to create your own. It’s a perfect way to get active and improve your health while you impact the health of the global community.

All funds raised will go to finding new and improved methods of prevention, detection and treatment of diseases including cancer, Alzheimer’s, asthma and depression.
Medical advances, like the ones made at QIMR Berghofer, now prevent, diagnose and cure many deadly diseases. Imagine a world where treatments could help your immune system to fight previously terminal cancers. Where new malaria drugs were available, saving more than 400 000 lives per year. Where almost half of the population who live with a chronic illness no longer suffered. And where mental illnesses and neurodegenerative diseases were easier to prevent, diagnose and treat, greatly improving the quality of life for patients and their families.

Your support is crucial to advancing our research, and helping to improve quality of life across the community. QIMR Berghofer scientists are at the cutting edge of:
• Immunotherapy – training the immune system to fight aggressive cancers and cancers with previously limited treatment options
• Brain imaging to understand complex mental disorders
• Clinical trials to speed up the development of new drugs for malaria

Your help is greatly appreciated. Join our team now to raise your fitness and much-needed funds.

If you are unable to participate but would like to support our team you can still make a donation.
